Artwork FAQ.

Everything you need to know about files, print quality, cutlines, bleed and digital proofs before your stickers go to print.

📁 What is the best file format for my stickers? +
DeadGood reply Vector artwork is best for the sharpest results, so AI, PDF, EPS or SVG files are ideal. High-resolution PNG, JPG and PSD files are also accepted. If your file needs checking, I’ll review it before anything goes to print.
🔍 How do I get the best possible print quality? +
DeadGood reply Upload the clearest version of your artwork you have. For raster files like PNG or JPG, 300 DPI at the final sticker size is recommended. Clean lines, bold colours and high-resolution artwork will always give the best print result.
🎨 What are colour profiles and CMYK / RGB? +
DeadGood reply RGB is used for screens, so it can look extra bright because your phone or monitor is backlit. CMYK is used for printing with ink. CMYK artwork is preferred, but RGB files can still be used and converted for print.
🖥️ Will my sticker colours match my screen colours? +
DeadGood reply They should be a close match, but not always identical. Screens use light and every device displays colour differently, while stickers are printed with ink onto vinyl. Slight colour variation is normal with all printed products.
🌈 How will I know which parts of my sticker will be holographic? +
DeadGood reply On holographic stickers, any white areas in your artwork are usually left unprinted so the rainbow holographic vinyl shows through. Printed colours sit on top of the holographic material for a colourful shimmer effect.
✂️ How will you know where I want my sticker cut? +
DeadGood reply Every custom sticker order includes a digital proof showing the cutline before printing begins. You can also leave an order note if you want a specific shape, border thickness or contour path around your artwork.
Do I get a proof before my stickers are printed? +
DeadGood reply Always. A free digital proof is included with every custom sticker order. Your stickers only go into the print queue once you have checked and approved the proof, so you can make sure everything looks right first.
🛠️ Can you help if my artwork is not print-ready? +
DeadGood reply In most cases, yes. If your artwork needs a quick check, simple background removal, border adjustment or basic setup help, I’ll let you know during the proofing stage and help where possible.
🩸 What is bleed and why do I need it? +
DeadGood reply Bleed is extra artwork that extends past the final cutline. It helps prevent unwanted white edges after your stickers are cut, especially on designs with coloured backgrounds, full-colour edges or detailed shapes.
📏 How much bleed should my artwork have? +
DeadGood reply At least 2mm bleed around your design is recommended. For detailed shapes, textured edges or artwork that runs right to the edge, 3mm bleed can help give a cleaner and safer cut.

Product FAQ.

Answers about sticker materials, finishes, sizing, quantities, samples and what you can order from DeadGood Stickers.

🧱 What material are your stickers made from? +
DeadGood reply All DeadGood Stickers are printed on high-quality permanent vinyl. They’re made to feel premium, stick properly, and hold up well for everyday use on packaging, laptops, bottles, jars, helmets, windows and more.
🖨️ What is the print quality of the stickers? +
DeadGood reply Stickers are printed using professional Roland print equipment with eco-solvent inks for crisp detail, bold colour and clean results. Your artwork is checked before print so it looks as sharp as possible at your chosen size.
🧼 What surfaces can I apply my stickers to? +
DeadGood reply Stickers work best on clean, smooth, dry and non-porous surfaces. Laptops, bottles, glass, packaging, jars, helmets, plastic and painted metal are all popular choices. For best results, wipe the surface before applying.
💧 Will my stickers be waterproof? +
DeadGood reply Yes. DeadGood vinyl stickers are waterproof and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. They can handle rain, splashes and everyday handling, making them a solid choice for bottles, packaging, windows and outdoor-facing surfaces.
☀️ Will my stickers fade in the sun? +
DeadGood reply The stickers are printed with UV-resistant eco-solvent inks, so they’re designed to stay bold and vibrant. Like any printed product, long-term direct sunlight and harsh weather can affect lifespan over time.
How long will my stickers last? +
DeadGood reply Sticker lifespan depends on the surface, weather exposure, handling and where they’re used. They’re made from durable permanent vinyl and are designed for long-lasting indoor use and reliable outdoor performance.
Can I choose different finishes? +
DeadGood reply Absolutely. You can choose from gloss for a shiny vibrant finish, matte for a smooth low-glare look, holographic for a rainbow effect, or clear vinyl for a see-through finish. Each material has its own product page with more detail.
🎨 Can I mix and match materials, shapes or sizes? +
DeadGood reply It depends on the order. Small variations may be possible, but different materials, sizes or shapes may need to be ordered separately. Send the details over before ordering and I’ll confirm the best way to set it up.
📏 What if I want stickers larger than 100mm? +
DeadGood reply Larger stickers are usually possible. If you need a size that is not listed on the product page, send over your artwork, size and quantity requirements and I’ll quote it properly for you.
🔢 What if I want a larger quantity than you advertise? +
DeadGood reply Bulk runs and larger quantities are available on request. Send over your artwork, size, finish and quantity, and I’ll come back with pricing, production time and the best option for your order.
🧪 Do you offer samples? +
DeadGood reply I don’t currently send free sample packs, but you can order a smaller custom sticker batch to test your own artwork, material choice and print quality before committing to a larger order.
🛍️ What other products do you offer? +
DeadGood reply Alongside custom stickers, I also offer printed clothing, tote bags and merch through my sister brand DeadGood Printing. This is ideal if you want matching stickers, packaging and branded apparel.
